February 2024

Took my sister on a cruise to the Bahamas for her birthday. This one was a freebie courtesy of the Royal Caribbean gift certificates I collected using points from the job’s recognition program (use ALL your rewards people)! Had dinner with a friend later in the month and replaced my Fitbit band to start tracking workouts.

March 2024

Attended my very first symphony. If you play a stringed instrument 🎻, I salute you! Made an A in Policy 😊. Finished the month off at Blacklit in Farmer’s Branch for Tim Ross’ book tour.

April 2024

Had a great time in April visiting Nola for the annual AONL conference. Got a chance to spend time with family, hook up with old friends, and indulge in my favorite dishes. Met some new people at Gathering with the Girls. School is going well. Who could ask for anything more.

May 2024

May has been dominated by inclement weather here in the DFW area. That did not prevent me from gathering with the girls, making new connections, or traveling to San Antonio for the 2024 Texas Nurses Association Conference.

Kenisha & I the last day of VBS at a special viewing for upcoming movie, The Forge, starring Priscilla Shirer with cameos by other members of our OCBF family. Grab your family and go see The Forge in theaters August 23rd.

June 2024

I usually lay low during the summer. 1. Texas heat. 2. Kids are out of school, and these kids are different! Finally had some progress getting interviews. Had a nice brunch mid-month with the girls. My favorite activity was Vacation Bible School. I have never experienced a ministry being so committed to the well-being of its members.

July 2024

July started with a spark an ended with fireworks! I met and get to bond with an amazing group of women as we navigate through our journey of becoming great communicators. My sister from Seattle came to visit. A friend and I attended a singles mixer. Desperate for Jesus 2024 was everything! And the Lord blessed me with a new job role and fall tuition!

August 2024

I got a job! Formalized a mentoring relationship. Dinner date with a friend.

September 2024

September was full of lots of brunches & dinner celebrations with colleagues. Met up with some Linked In friends for the first time. Candlelight Whitney Houston themed string quartet concert with a close friend. Of course, self-care Saturdays carry on.

October 2024

Spent some time with family while attending a conference in New Orleans. Went to my high school rivalry football game. Good times!

November 2024

Completed the Communicator’s Coaching Cohort…learned so much. More than I could absorb! Started pre-planning for 2025. Not too much outside time this month.

December 2024

Was able to do a quick turnaround to Seattle and spend time with my cousins whom I have not seen in over a decade…shame on me. I’m glad I decided to go.
