Hello world! I am asking for your help…
Stand up for change and support H.R. 3619 Toxic Free Beauty Act of 2023 by signing my petition today. This crucial legislation aims to prohibit 11 toxic chemicals from beauty and personal care products sold in the U.S.

A quick reflection…In the latter months of 2023, I suffered from a crazy dermatitis on my scalp, ears, and neck after getting my hair braided (it was not hair I supplied). I also experienced severe sensitivity and breakage of my nails from using dip powder. I had consistently done both of these things before and never had an issue. During my DNP Health Care Policy course this semester, I went down the rabbit hole (as nurse leaders often do) regarding breast cancer incidence/mortality and what was being done in terms of prevention. This is how I learned about H.R. 3619.

I have taken those things collectively as a sign to become an advocate for breast cancer prevention, hence the petition. Every signature counts in the fight for better health. Let your voice be heard now…breast cancer isn’t only diagnosed in October. Don’t forget to share!
